The Map Selection system in Sipher Odyssey allows players to navigate between different regions, dungeons, and difficulty levels. This system provides structure to your progression through the game while offering increasing challenges and rewards.

Regions and Dungeons

Sipher Odyssey features multiple expansive regions to explore:

  • Dopamis: The starting region for all new players
  • Zendor: Unlocked after completing Dopamis 5 Normal
  • Sera: Unlocked after completing Zendor 5 Normal
  • Additional regions will be introduced in future updates

Each region contains multiple dungeons (numbered 1-5+) that must be completed sequentially to progress.

Difficulty Levels

Each dungeon can be played at three difficulty levels:

Normal

  • Standard difficulty level
  • Available immediately when a dungeon is unlocked
  • Balanced for new players and regular gameplay

Aggressive

  • Enhanced difficulty with tougher enemies
  • Higher spawn rate of elite enemies
  • Unlocked by completing the same dungeon on Normal difficulty
  • Greater rewards than Normal difficulty

Corrupted

  • Highest difficulty level with significantly stronger enemies
  • Introduces random "Corruption" effects that modify gameplay
  • Unique visual and audio elements
  • Unlocked by completing the same dungeon on Aggressive difficulty
  • Offers the most valuable rewards

Progression System

Dungeon unlocking follows a structured pattern:

  1. Complete a dungeon to unlock the next dungeon in the same region
  2. Complete the final dungeon of a region to unlock the first dungeon of the next region
  3. Complete a dungeon at one difficulty to unlock the same dungeon at the next difficulty level

For example:

  • To unlock Zendor 1 Normal, complete Dopamis 5 Normal
  • To unlock Zendor 1 Aggressive, complete Zendor 1 Normal and Dopamis 5 Aggressive

Rewards Display

The Map Selection screen provides a preview of available rewards:

  • Up to four of the most valuable rewards are displayed for each dungeon
  • First-time clear rewards are prioritized in the display
  • Rewards are sorted by Tier and Rarity
  • Tap the information icon to view the complete list of potential rewards

Checkpoint Rewards

Special rewards are available at certain checkpoints (dungeons 5, 10, 15, 20):

  • Displayed as special chest rewards
  • Limited to 3-4 of the best possible rewards
  • View detailed information by tapping on the reward icon

Corruption System

In Corrupted difficulty, dungeons feature random Corruption effects:

  • Up to five Corruptions are displayed in the Map Selection screen
  • Each Corruption modifies gameplay in unique ways
  • Tap the information icon to see all active Corruptions for a dungeon

Dungeon Skip Feature

For dungeons you've already completed, the Skip feature allows you to:

  • Instantly receive rewards without playing through the dungeon
  • Still requires spending the normal Energy cost
  • Limited to a set number of free skips per day
  • Additional skips available at 2x Energy cost

Important notes about Dungeon Skip:

  • No XP rewards are granted when using Skip
  • Event boosters and XP boosters still apply to rewards
  • Not available for Co-op Mode
  • Does not progress Missions, Achievements, or Objectives
  • Random Boss Level rewards are not received

The Map Selection system provides a structured way to progress through Sipher Odyssey while offering increasing challenges and rewards. Choose your difficulty wisely based on your team's strength and the rewards you're seeking!
