COLOSSEUM (PVP ARENA OFFLINE)

Overview

The Colosseum is Sipher Odyssey's strategic PvP Arena system where players create and deploy teams of vessels for asynchronous AI battles. This competitive mode allows players to climb through various ranking tiers, earning rewards while testing their strategic composition and vessel customization skills against other players' defensive formations.

Unlocking Requirements

• Account Level 10 or higher
• At least one fully equipped vessel
• Completed tutorial missions

Core Mechanics

Battle Format

• Players create and deploy 1-3 vessel teams for AI-controlled battles
• Each vessel requires behavior configuration and augment preferences
• Battle format varies by tier:
• Bronze to Gold: 1 team (3v3)
• Platinum to Legend: 3 teams (3v3 Best of 3)

Team Setup

Offensive Team

• Configure up to 3 vessels per team
• Select appropriate augments and equipment
• Set AI behavior preferences for each vessel

Defensive Team

• Required to participate in Arena rankings
• Earns Elo points when successfully defending against other players
• Can be different from your offensive team

Ranking System

Players progress through seven distinct tiers, each with its own requirements:

• Each tier has a leaderboard of 100 players
• Points are gained or lost based on battle outcomes
• Both offensive and defensive battles affect your Elo rating

Matchmaking System

Finding Opponents

• Players are presented with 5 potential opponents to battle
• Matchmaking prioritizes opponents of similar ranking and skill level
• System features tier-appropriate bot opponents when needed

Match Priority

• First 2 slots: Opponents within +100~200 Elo points
• 3rd slot: Opponents within same Elo range
• 4th & 5th slots: Opponents within -100~200 Elo points
• System prioritizes real players but will use bots when necessary

Season Structure

Season Duration

• Seasons typically last 30 days (configurable)
• Current season timer visible in the Arena UI

Season End Process

1. All rankings are locked when season ends
2. Final ranks are calculated
3. Season rewards are distributed to players' mailboxes
4. Rank decay occurs (higher ranks drop more than lower ones)
5. New season begins with placement matches

Resources

Arena Tickets

• 5 Arena Tickets available daily (resets at server reset time)
• Used to initiate offensive battles
• Can be purchased with ROM (100 ROM per ticket)
• Unused tickets carry over to the next day

• Points awarded for both offensive and defensive victories

Daily Win Streak Rewards

• 3 Wins: x1 Star Drop
• 6 Wins: x1 Star Drop
• 9 Wins: x1 Star Drop

Awarded based on your final tier when the season ends. Minimum requirement: Complete at least 10 matches in the season.
