Overview

Augmentations, also known as Boosts or Memories, are power-ups that can be obtained and used during one Dungeon run. These typically enhance the stats or abilities of the vessel, such as increasing movement speed, reducing incoming damage, or making enemies explode. Combined with procedurally generated dungeons, this system adds a high level of replayability to the game, as each dungeon run will be unique, featuring different sets of augmentations and challenges.

Whenever a player enters a dungeon, their Sipher vessel is reset to its original state. As they progress through each dungeon run, they can access some of their lost Memories in the form of Augmentations. Completing a dungeon floor enables players to select from a set of three randomly generated augmentations, pooled from their Augmentation Deck.

These are stacked along the way as the player continues to progress the various dungeon floors but are reset when a player exits the dungeon for any reason (i.e. completing all floors in a dungeon, exiting prior to completion, or after dying).

Augmentation Deck

Players can customize their Augmentation Deck before entering dungeons by changing their equipment, as each piece provides a different set of augmentations. Players must choose carefully, as these can significantly impact playstyle and overall strategy.

Augmentation Types and Rarities

Augmentations can be divided into three main categories: Attack, Defense, and Crowd Control. Certain augments can be applied to one player or to the entire squad when playing Co-op.

Each also has its own rarity, starting from Common to Legendary. The rarity of each augmentation will be dependent on the rarity of the source equipment, be it a weapon or gear.
