In the world of Sipheria, all elements exist in perfect order and balance. Kūsōka preserves this equilibrium by reverting worlds that have strayed too far from their intended course, similar to a computer restoring to a previous save state. As players return to the same world, they often find the same enemies trapped in the same cycle, with no memory of previous encounters but with increased power. This cycle is known as "The Reset”. As the chaos of the Aberration spreads throughout Sipheria, The Reset is used more frequently to try and cleanse the world of any corruption
The Aberration
The Aberration symbolizes the disruption of harmony, introducing unpredictable change that impedes the reset process. It introduces chaos into Kūsōka's infinite tapestry, making some ponder if this chaos is actually freedom - a break from the repetition and stagnation of Kūsōka's system.
The Aberration is a mysterious and misunderstood force that looms over Sipheria. According to Kūsōka, it is a corruptive plague that spreads like wildfire and consumes everything in its path. However, the truth is more complex.

The Aberration is a mysterious and misunderstood force that looms over Sipheria. According to Kūsōka, it is a corruptive plague that spreads like wildfire and consumes everything in its path. However, the truth is more complex. The Aberration was actually created by people from 2nd Era. It is the one thing in the universe that Kūsōka cannot reset, and as a result, it has a perfect memory of every iteration of the universe that has come before.
By touching the Aberration, a Surrogate Sipherian can access lost memories and resist Kūsōka's reset. This allows Surrogates to evolve and grow, rather than being constantly reset to their original state. However, this is not always a good thing. Being overwhelmed with all their lost memories can drive some Surrogates to madness, and over millions of iterations, the world and its creatures may evolve into unrecognizable and terrifying forms.
"The power of memory offers both freedom and terror."
