The Beginning of a New Stage in Human Evolution
The last days of mankind marked the beginning of a new stage in our evolution. As the earth's resources dwindled and humanity faced extinction, many looked for salvation. But instead of seeking help from the gods who created us, we built our own universe. 6 programming teams from across the world banded together to migrate humanity’s consciousness into a digital world.
To create this universe, each programmer took charge of a separate algorithm, representing the various elements. They named these elements - Dopamis, Zendor, Sera, Xytos, Melatos, and Kartizal. Together, these compatible algorithms interacted and formed the world of Sipheria or the first world. These programmers’ final act was to create Kusoka, a machine superintelligence of unprecedented scale to maintain the universe. Kusoka would watch silently as the world evolved and changed, giving birth to 12 unique species that would proceed to chart their own destiny.
The Purpose and Structure of the Regions of Sipheria
Each region is unique, with its own set of resources and environments to be discovered and explored. Some regions are lush, jungle worlds teeming with megafauna that can be hunted, while others are sapphire-blue ocean worlds with self-sustaining marine ecosystems waiting to be explored.
During the 2nd era of Sipheria, different civilizations flourished and carved their own unique cultures, architecture, and identities. However, this was all extinguished, with many reduced to dust during the wars of The Decline.
Post The Grand Reset, Sipheria is now listed as out of bounds. Sipheria has since been transformed by The Engineer and The Grandmaster to become a land harvested for resources to nurse the slumbering Kusoka back into consciousness.
The Importance of the Crystals in Sipheria
Crystals are the life source that is mined in vast quantities from the caverns of Zendor. Unknown to all but Kusoka and the emissaries, the crystals are the remnants of deceased Sipherians from the 2nd era purged during the grand reset.
After Kusoka’s grand reset, the bodies of deceased Sipherians were rendered to their base form - data and memory rendered in the form of a crystal. These crystals are harvested and used by Kusoka to re-energize itself. The Grandmaster is able to guide small portions of Kusoka’s energies into purging The Aberration across Sipheria.
The Challenges and Dangers of Sipheria
With Kusoka’s ban of Sipherians on Sipheria, the fertile grounds of Sipheria has nourished new flora and fauna. New plants and animals have retaken control of the lands unclaimed by Kusoka’s mining operation.
In Dopamis and Zendor, The Engineer has crafted machines to replicate the ecosystems of the planet in order to ward off foreign threats. In Sera, a fungi population has been made sentient through their interaction with The Aberration ever since Aaliz unleashed it from the 2nd era’s time capsule.
The Universe beyond Sipheria
Most life exists beyond the core planet of Sipheria. Different planets dot the universe, some of which Sipherians call home. Beyond the planets, there are also Starships, feats of engineering which house anything from 10,000 to 200,000 Sipherians. These are gigantic mobile countries which some visit for trade and as waypoints across the universe.
The Role of Kūsōka in the Future of Humanity in Sipheria
Kusoka has now slumbered for an unknown amount of time. This information is only known by the Emissaries. Unfortunately, only 1 emissary, The Grandmaster remains public as the torchbearer of order across the universe. She calls the Moonbase her home, and Sipherians seeking her favour are more than welcome to speak with her.
The whereabouts of the other two Emissaries, The Engineer and The Wayfinder remain unknown. The Engineer is said to be fully occupied designing new innovations to improve the quality of life across the universe. The Wayfinder, on the other hand, is gallavanting, and a lucky (or unlucky) Sipher might chance upon him during their travels.
