The time has finally come! Genesis Sipher NFTs are migrating from Ethereum to Funki Chain, our native Layer 2 built for Generative AI, gaming, and the new social.
Genesis NFTs will now have full in-game utility, unlock marketplace tradability, and become part of a standardized asset format for all items in Sipher Odyssey. It's also another big leap toward the full rollout of Funki Chain and the broader vision of Sipher AGI.
Here’s everything you need to know — what’s changing, how the migration works, and what it means for you.
Migration Timeline
- Snapshot Date: April 21, 2025
- Airdrop Date: April 22, 2025
📌 Important: Do not buy, sell, or transfer Genesis NFTs on April 21. Your holdings at the time of the snapshot will determine your eligibility.
No Action Required
If you're holding a Genesis Sipher NFT on April 21, you’ll automatically receive your migrated NFTs on Funki Chain airdropped to the same wallet on April 22.
What’s Changing?
Once your wallet is linked to your Ather account, the new NFTs will be automatically reflected in the game.
We’re phasing out the old soulbound system. Each Genesis NFT on Ethereum will be split into 7 new NFTs on Funki Chain:
- 1 Vessel NFT
- 5 Gear NFTs (Head, Body, Legs, Feet, Hand)
- 1 Weapon NFT (with random rarity and type)
All of these are independent, ownable, and tradable in the in-game marketplace.
2-ways to Import NFTs into Sipher Odyssey
Reflect-only (Old System)
- NFTs are mirrored from your wallet.
- Assets are usable in-game but non-tradable.
- This is the current system you're familiar with.
Deposit & Withdrawal (New System)
- NFTs gain full utility and tradability when deposited into Sipher Odyssey.
- You'll deposit them via a wallet signature at the NFT Portal:
- Deposited NFTs can be withdrawn on-chain anytime.

Marketplace & Trading
Once deposited, your Genesis vessels and gears become tradable like any other in-game item at the Sipher Odyssey Marketplace.
When withdrawn, you unlock digital ownership and asset portability on-chain, and across ecosystems.
Ethereum NFTs Stay as Collectibles
We’re preserving the legacy and art of Genesis Siphers. Your original Ethereum NFTs won’t be deleted or delisted — they’ll remain as collectible PFPs (profile pictures) with their 2D designs and historical significance.
⚠️ But remember: these Ethereum NFTs will no longer have in-game utility. Please avoid trading them based on future utility expectations.
Rarity & Progression
- Rarity of vessels and gear stays the same after migration.
- Upgrade levels and augments are preserved when migrating to Funki Chain.
What This Means
This migration brings:
- Full tradability and utility of Genesis NFTs
- Seamless integration into Funki Chain
- Better alignment with Sipher Odyssey’s economy
- Legacy preservation via Ethereum collectibles
It’s a major milestone — both for the Genesis collection and for the broader Sipher AGI ecosystem.
FAQ
- Do I need to deposit my NFTs to use them?
- What’s the difference between reflect and deposit?
- Reflect: NFTs sit in your wallet and can be used to play. They gain progression but cannot be listed, salvaged, or ascended.
- Deposit: Items are fully functional and tradable. They’re sent into the game through a transaction on Funki Chain.
- Can I mint normal in-game assets into NFTs?
- What happens to my Genesis NFTs after the Open Beta reset?
- Will progression and augments reset after Open Beta?
- What about non-Genesis NFTs after Open Beta?
- Is there a marketplace outside the game?
No — reflected NFTs are usable in-game, but not tradable. For marketplace trading, you’ll need to deposit them via the NFT portal.
Yes — the NFT portal supports both deposit and withdrawal.
All Genesis NFTs will be returned to the original wallet based on the April 21 snapshot — regardless of what you do with them during Open Beta (sell, transfer, salvage, etc.).
Level and stats for vessel, gears, and weapons will reset. Item rarity and augments may be reset as we introduce new gear, new augments, and rebalance the game economy.
These can be minted and withdrawn, but will be burned after the reset. Compensation will be provided — details to come.
There is currently no external marketplace on Funki Chain. Players can use the Sipher Odyssey in-game marketplace for trading.
