Here’s a first look!

Why we made the switch:

If you are one of our NFT holders, you must’ve known one of the perks of holding a Sipher NFT is access to our exclusive comic series, which has long resided in our Discord under the “comic-share” section of our Holder’s Corner, look a little something like this:

Though we certainly love the 32 🥵 emojis and hundreds of ❤️ on Discord, we think it’s finally time that our beloved comic series deserves a more permanent home. The new comics.sipher.xyz provides a much-needed visual overhaul and user experience parallel to what you’ve been seeing on Sipher.xyz.

Now jokes aside, our team did a deep dive into how we can improve the quality of our comic platform. From the feedback that we’ve collected and the studies conducted, we’ve identified 2 primary issues with our current approach and how we fixed them with the new site, here are the known feedbacks:

1. A Massive Visual Improvement

For something our artist and storytellers had put upwards of hundreds of hours into, acting as an exclusive perk for the enjoyment of our NFT holders, hosting it on a chatting platform and displaying it as a PDF file seems to undercut the whole “exclusive” part of the deal.

Furthermore, aside from its ludicrously long file name that looks eerily similar to each other, there is no unique identifier between each chapter unless you actually click on it.

So how did we decide to solve it?

We gave them a thumbnail of course! The cover art is supposed to be featured at the forefront and it should be that way, clearly differentiating each series, and in a way, eye candy on a large spread. This also allows us to pay homage to the team behind the incredibly thrilling comic series.

2. It’s no longer finicky!

Like we’ve said before, to access the comics, you’ll have to be a part of our Holder’s Corner on Discord. And to do that, you’re required to create a Discord account, join our server, and have to verify with a bot that you’re a Sipher NFT holder. For those that are more involved, this may seem easy and straightforward, but for others, it might be a bit finicky or even intimidating.

To solve this problem, we’ve closely integrated the new Comics.sipher.xyz with your Ather Account, letting you connect your wallet through your preferred browser extension without having to leave the site. And in the case that you don’t own any Sipher NFT, we’ve also put in a nifty link for you to visit OpenSea and get one (or another one if you already have some 😉).

3. Compatible with all devices

Though it’s not a common problem, it’s still a nice perk to have. We have optimized the site’s sizing so that you could enjoy your comics on any device of choice without depending on a PDF viewer or Discord.
