Ather Labs’ flagship game is SIPHER ODYSSEY, an action packed ARPG roguelite targeting global market and all platforms, from Mobile to PC and Consoles, designed for both casual and competitive players. The game is designed to be easy to pick up but hard to master.
Our main studio is based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam with an office in Danang. Our goal is to be the best mid-core gaming studio out of SEA, to bring Vietnam’s stories and passion for gaming and technology to the world!

đź’˘ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain fullstack web applications (frontend + backend) aligned with product and business requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions.
- Participate in system operation, monitoring, debugging, and performance optimization of live products.
- Research, evaluate, and experiment with new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve development efficiency and product quality.
- Actively leverage AI tools (e.g., coding assistants, automation tools) to enhance productivity, code quality, and problem-solving.
- Ensure code quality through clean coding practices, testing, and code reviews.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and continuously improve engineering practices.
- Proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and take ownership of tasks end-to-end.
- Report progress and technical updates to the Engineering Lead.
đź“Ś REQUIREMENTS
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
- Experience in fullstack web development (or strong potential if junior), including:
- Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, modern frameworks (React, Next.js or equivalent)
- Backend: Node.js (or equivalent backend technologies)
- Databases: SQL or NoSQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Ability to effectively use AI tools in development workflows (e.g., code generation, debugging, research, automation).
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
- Strong self-learning mindset with a proactive attitude toward exploring emerging technologies.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and research materials.
- Basic English proficiency, especially in reading and writing technical documents.
- Strong ownership, responsibility, and problem-solving mindset (startup spirit).
- Attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, maintainable code
đź’« PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience optimizing system performance and scalability.
- Experience working with modern development workflows (CI/CD, Git, testing frameworks).
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, automation pipelines).
- Background in competitive programming or strong algorithmic thinking is a plus.
- Experience contributing to or exploring open-source projects.
