Ather Labs’ flagship game is SIPHER ODYSSEY, an action packed ARPG roguelite targeting global market and all platforms, from Mobile to PC and Consoles, designed for both casual and competitive players. The game is designed to be easy to pick up but hard to master.
Our main studio is based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam with an office in Danang. Our goal is to be the best mid-core gaming studio out of SEA, to bring Vietnam’s stories and passion for gaming and technology to the world!

đź’˘ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Level: Fresher - Middle
Report to: Game Engineer Lead
- Design and implement high-performance rendering systems and graphics pipelines for game engines across multiple platforms
- Develop and optimize shaders using HLSL, GLSL, or Metal to create lighting, shadows, post-processing, and particle effects
- Collaborate with artists to build tools and workflows that streamline asset integration and enable real-time visualization
- Optimize rendering performance through profiling, analyzing bottlenecks, and implementing LOD systems, culling, and memory management
- Implement modern rendering techniques including PBR, global illumination, volumetric effects, and advanced anti-aliasing
- Debug and resolve graphics issues across different hardware configurations and graphics APIs (DirectX, Vulkan, Metal, OpenGL)
📌 REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of professional graphics programming experience in games or real-time applications
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Strong proficiency in C++ with deep understanding of memory management, multithreading, and performance optimization
- Solid knowledge of modern graphics APIs (DirectX 11/12, Vulkan, Metal, or OpenGL)
- Experience writing and optimizing shaders using HLSL, GLSL, or similar shading languages
- Strong understanding of 3D mathematics, linear algebra, and GPU architecture
- Experience with graphics profiling tools (RenderDoc, PIX, Nsight Graphics)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

- Knowledge of GPU optimization for mobile, PC, and console
- Familiarity with ray tracing and real-time global illumination techniques
- Background in animation systems, material systems, or procedural generation
- Portfolio or shipped titles demonstrating graphics programming work
