Random Encounter Bosses are special optional challenges that occasionally appear during your dungeon runs in Sipher Odyssey. These powerful adversaries offer unique combat experiences and exclusive rewards for players brave enough to face them.

How Encounters Work

While exploring dungeons, you may occasionally receive a notification that a Random Encounter Boss is nearby. These special encounters:

Have a 5% chance to appear in eligible levels
Only appear in level 5 onward (excluding the final level)
Can only be encountered once per dungeon run
Become available after completing specific milestone dungeons in each region

Unlock Requirements

Dopamis: Complete Dopamis 6 Normal to unlock encounters in Dopamis 7+ dungeons
Zendor: Complete specific milestone dungeons (details forthcoming)
Sera: Complete specific milestone dungeons (details forthcoming)

Deciding to Fight

When a Random Encounter Boss is detected, you'll be presented with a choice:

Solo Play

Choose "Accept Challenge" to face the boss
Choose "Run Away" to skip the encounter and continue your dungeon run

Co-op Play

All players will vote whether to face the boss
If any player votes "Run Away," the encounter is skipped
The voting screen displays information about the boss and potential rewards

Each region features unique Random Encounter Bosses with distinct abilities and attack patterns:

Currently Available Bosses

Dopamis: Spider Boss - A multi-limbed terror with web-based attacks and minion-summoning abilities
Zendor: Additional bosses coming soon
Sera: Additional bosses coming soon

Difficulty Scaling

Boss difficulty scales according to your dungeon difficulty level:

Normal: Scaled for standard power levels
Aggressive: Increased challenge with enhanced abilities
Corrupted: Maximum difficulty with additional mechanics

Rewards

Defeating Random Encounter Bosses grants valuable rewards:

Special Keys: Used to access the Random Encounter Boss Banner
Exclusive Blueprints: Region-specific equipment sets themed after the bosses
Rare Materials: Components needed for crafting exclusive equipment

The Random Encounter Boss Banner is a special gacha that contains boss-themed equipment and materials unavailable through other means.

Battle Outcomes

Victory: Receive rewards at the dungeon completion screen
Defeat: No rewards are given, but you can continue your dungeon run normally
